When I started weaving many years ago, I never imagined what I would be creating.  After my mother passed away, I could not just throw her clothes away.  Her style was very funky and colorful and I wanted to do something different with them.  I decided to make a rag rug for myself and my five siblings from her clothes in celebration of her life.  The rugs were amazing and it was a special and wonderful way to cherish her memory in a unique way.

I understand that transforming special clothing into a new and different item can be emotional.  Please know I will make these items in honor and celebration of your loved ones.  I will consult with you prior to the transformation so we can discuss the process if you would like.

I recently added rugs and scarves from neck ties after having many people ask me about them. I can create a rug with them or, with silk ties, I can create a unique scarf.  

I have also added throw pillows, from small neck support pillows to large pillows from your loved ones clothing.  

I also weave scarves, baby blankets, throw pillows and blankets, table runners and many other items that are featured on this site.  Custom orders are available.

• How do I send my clothing items to you?   Complete an order form and mail the necessary items to me.  The contact information is on the form.
• After you receive my items will you contact me before starting the project?  If you would like, I will contact you to discuss the project. 
• What will happen to my clothing items?  I will cut your items into one inch strips in order to weave them into a rug, pillow or scarf.
• If I only have a few items can I still have you create a rug, pillow or scarf?  Absolutely, I can incorporate material that will highlight your items.
• Can I send items that are not perfect?  Yes, I can cut around stains, holes and other imperfections.
• How long until I receive my item?  I can usually create your item within two weeks, depending on my volume.  I will also be in contact with and may be able to expedite the process for you.
• How do I care for my hand woven item?  I will send care instructions with every order.
• What if I need this item as a gift?  I can send your rug or scarf anywhere in the U.S. free of charge or outside the U.S. for a shipping charge.
